The Arizona Cardinals are the lone unbeaten team in the NFL, and silenced many of their critics last week in a 37-20 beatdown of the favored Los Angeles Rams at home.

Arizona is 4-0 on the season, and 3-1 against the spread. Their quarterback Kyler Murray has taken the lead in the MVP race at WynnBET at +450, tied with Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers for the shortest odds.

Meanwhile, after starting the season dead-last to win the NFC West at +500, the Cardinals are now tied with the Rams at +170 to win the division. Even their win total has skyrocketed up as well.

Everything appears to be coming up Cardinals, but is now the time to fade the birds with everyone jumping on-board?

Should bettors trust the Cardinals both short term and long term?

If you were hoping to get in on the Cardinals before everyone else, you're far too late. This week, they host the San Francisco 49ers at home as 5.5-point favorites in Glendale with the total set right at 50.

To get a sense of how bettors should consider approaching Arizona, we reached out to WynnBET's traders to help give a sense of how they are approaching their odds this year, as well as to give an indication of how the public is betting them as well as the sharps, or professionals.

WynnBET Trader Sawyer Johnson shared the oddsmakers' perspective on the state of the Cardinals:

“I am buying that they have made a major step from last season," Sawyer exclusively told BetSided.

"But, I still don’t view them as an elite team in the league. Each team faces adversity at some point in the season, and they haven’t faced it yet. As soon as they face adversity and overcome it, that is when I will be sold on them.”

Johnson also weighed in on Arizona's matchup this week at home against San Francisco, warning bettors that the line may have moved a bit too high as a result of the public backing the Cardinals:

"The public was on the Cardinals, and pushed the line from -4.5 to -6, but the sharps brought that back down to -5.5," Johnson said.

"The 49ers are still very good and rookie quarterback Trey Lance’s ceiling is off the charts."

49ers vs. Cardinals Prediction

I'm siding with the books on this one. The 49ers' nearly won on Sunday Night Football in Week 3 against Green Bay, and let their game vs. the Seahawks slip away once Trey Lance came in cold. I think the Cardinals are getting far too much public love this week and this is a classic fade the public play.

PICK: 49ers +5.5
