The Angels got on the board in a major way last night, beating the Astros 7-1. Shohei Ohtani was on the mound and didn’t fail to disappoint. Houston will be ready to get revenge tonight, however.

Framber Valdez toes the rubber for the Astros, and he’ll face Reid Detmers in the process. Last night was the Angels’ second win in their last 10 games. Can they start a new type of streak against the divisional leaders?

Astros vs. Angels Prediction and Odds

I said earlier that the Astros would be looking for revenge, and I think they’ll do it in big fashion. Houston has lost 29 games this season. Following those losses, the Astros are 18-11 against the run line.

They also have the better pitcher on the mound in Valdez. He's top 15 in record and just outside the top 10 in ERA. Valdez struck out 13 batters in his last start against the Angels, so so I'll trust him and the Astros to continue their stellar bounce back ways.

Los Angeles' win last night felt like lightning striking. They haven't been able to grab wins and with Reid Detmers and his 4.22 ERA stepping up to the mound tonight, I don't have a lot of faith in the Angels.

Lean: Astros -1.5 (-105)
