The Braves and Astros carved vastly different paths this baseball season to end up where they are, but both have reached the promised land.

Each team has collected their respective league's pennants, and are now four wins away from a World Series title.

This should be a high-scoring series featuring the top offense in baseball (Houston) taking on the eighth-highest scoring offense (Braves).

Who comes out on top? Let's dive in.

World Series Odds Astros vs Braves

WynnBET has set the Astros as favorites to win the World Series, giving them -140 odds (bet $140 to profit $100) to beat the Braves and win their second World Series in five years.

Atlanta is the underdog, with +125 odds (bet $100 to profit $125), to win its first title since 1995.

World Series Prediction Astros vs Braves

There's no question who has the edge in terms of experience. Not only did this Houston team, with much of the same core as its current squad, win the title in 2017, it also lost in 2019, giving it three appearances in five years. They're battled tested and certainly motivated to prove their cheating ways weren't the only reason they won the title in 2017.

The Braves are a young team, but also have plenty of postseason experience having made the postseason four years in a row. This moment won't be too big for their young sluggers either.

One important factor is the Astros have home field advantage, meaning they have the designated hitter advantage for four of the seven games, which is critical for a team that wins by scoring runs.

Ultimately, that makes a big difference in this series, so I'm leaning toward the Astros coming into this and will predict they win the series 4-2. Neither team has lockdown pitchers, but Houston's lineup is a little deeper than Atlanta's and that will play a factor late in games, as was also the case for Houston against Boston in the ALCS. It should be a great series and I'm leaning Houston's way early on.
