The Baltimore Orioles have a make or break stretch of their season coming up, as they sit on the outside looking in for a wild card spot in the American League.

Baltimore hosts the AL’s best team, the Houston Astros, on Friday in an interesting pitching matchup. Jose Uquidy (13-7, 3.96 ERA) gets the ball for Houston, as he’s coming off back-to-back outings where he allowed six runs.

He’ll face Dean Kremer (7-5, 3.33 ERA), who has been one of the better young pitchers for the Orioles this season.

Astros vs. Orioles Prediction and Pick

I’ve said it a ton of times this season, and it rings true again in this Friday matchup…

The Baltimore Orioles are THE BEST team on the run line in Major League Baseball!

It’s hard to fade this Astros team, but Urquidy is certainly not in his best form, and Kremer deserves a ton of credit for posting a 2.83 ERA and leading the O’s to a 7-2 record in his starts over the last two months.

Even if the Orioles don’t win this game, I at least expect them to keep things close, especially before the Astros bullpen enters the game. Also, Baltimore has a top-10 bullpen, so I think any cushion Kremer can give them could be upheld.

Back the O’s to keep covering!
