The ALCS is set!

The Houston Astros will take on the Boston Red Sox in a best-of-seven series with a World Series berth on the line.

The series will be a rematch of the 2018 ALCS when the Red Sox downed the Astros in five games. This will be Houston’s fifth consecutive ALCS appearance.

WynnBET Sportsbook has released odds for the series and has the Astros set as sizable favorites.

Red Sox vs Astros ALCS Odds

  • Red Sox +135
  • Astros -145

Astros Have Series Advantage

Not only do the Astros have the home field advantage in the series, but they’ve also got the better of the Red Sox in the regular season. Heading into the ALCS, the Astros are 5-2 against the Red Sox in 2021.

They’ve also been the better team in the matchup over the past handful of season. In the last 30 games between the two teams, the Astros have gone 18-12.

Expect a Lot of Offense

The ALCS will feature two of the best offenses in baseball, so expect runs to come in bunches. The Astros and Red Sox rank second and third respectively in OPS, and first and fifth in total runs scored.

It will also help that neither team has a particularly strong bullpen. The Red Sox rank 13th in bullpen ERA at 4.06 and the Astros rank 15th in that statistic at 4.06.

Strap in, because this series is going to be a good one.
