The PGA Tour heads to Texas for this week's AT&T Byron Nelson, which will serve as the final warm up event ahead of next week's PGA Championship.

This week's event is not an elevated event, but the field still has some top tier golfers including Scottie Scheffler, who enters the weeks as the betting favorite in his home state.

Let's dive into the odds to win the event and then I'll give you my best bets.

Odds to Win AT&T Byron Nelson

Best bet: Tyrrell Hatton +1400

This week is pretty simple in terms of handicapping. We need great putters with solid approach play who scores birdies at a high rate. This is one of the easiest courses on the PGA Tour and the first two editions of the tournament being held at TPC Craigh Ranch has simply been putting contests.

Tyrrell Hatton ranks 27th in strokes gained: putting and 41st in birdie average. But, he enters the event in fantastic form having improved in each of his last three starts, which was capped off with a T3 finish at last week's Wells Fargo Championship where he gained +1.58 strokes on the field with his approach play.

I think he gets the job done this week.

AT&T Byron Nelson Top 5 bet

Taylor Montgomery Top 5 +850

You want a golfer who can putt and score plenty of birdies? Allow me to introduce you to PGA Tour rookie, Taylor Montgomery. He ranks third overall and first in strokes gained: putting this week, while also ranking second in the field in birdie average, behind only Scottie Scheffler.

He's a rookie that's still seeking his first win, so I'm not going to bet on him to win the whole thing, but I love the top 5 odds. His style fits this course to perfection and if this event is truly a putting contest, no one is set up to succeed better than Montgomery.

AT&T Byron Nelson Top 10 bet

K.H. Lee Top 10 +250

Put some respect on the back-to-back champion, K.H. Lee, who many like to refer to as "TPC Lee". If he plays at a TPC course, it's time to bet on him.

It also helps that he's coming off a strong T8 finish at the Wells Fargo Championship. It'd be silly to not bet on him in some form this week.
