The Oakland Athletics and the Toronto Blue Jays close out their series today in Toronto. This series has been a fun one between two of the better offenses in the majors. Neither team has been able to get on a run to start the season. Can either take a step forward today?

Athletics vs. Blue Jays Prediction and Pick

The Blue Jays haven't been consistent this season when it comes to covering the run line. However, I think they can cover this spread because of their ability to hit home runs. Toronto is third in the league in home runs per game. On top of that, the Blue Jays are top 10 in hits per game so they can add on runs easily.

Oakland's offense is no slouch either. The Athletics are top 5 in at bats and runs per game. I do think they fall behind to Toronto because of pitching.

Toronto is putting Alek Manoah on the mound and he is coming off a fantastic season debut. In six innings, he only allowed one hit and struck out seven batters. With a home run based offense and a Cy Young candidate on their side, I like the Blue Jays.

Lean: Blue Jays -1.5 (-130)
