Cole Irvin goes for Oakland and he is opposed by Kyle Wright for Atlanta, which makes for a pretty good pitching matchup. Both starters have an ERA under 3.00.

Olson has an .830 OPS for the Braves and has hit seven home runs. The A’s, now without both Billy Beane and Brad Pitt, did not exactly have Scott Hatterberg waiting to fill in at first and get on base.  Nor do they have Miguel Tejada or the best pitching staff in the league (which is never mentioned in the movie).  

Seth Brown has been a below replacement level player with a -0.3 WAR, and Christian Pache who was the centerpiece of the return is hitting well below the Mendoza line.  

The Braves are rolling and the A’s, well they are exactly what they want to be… bad and cheap.  

I expect Atlanta to kick them while they are down.
