The Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins will face-off in their yearly pre-season matchup on Saturday night at 7:00 pm ET.

Both teams lost their first preseason game. The Falcons fell 23-3 to the Tennessee Titans, and the Dolphins lost to the Chicago Bears, 20-13.

Each team plans to play their starters for at least a portion of the game. This will be the first time that Matt Ryan will see in-game action for Atlanta, while Tagovailoa will get his second preseason outing.

Ryan will be going up against Dolphins head coach Brian Flores, who used to be his teammate at Boston College.

Falcons vs. Dolphins Prediction and Pick

I’m cautiously optimistic about my Atlanta Falcons this year, but there’s no way I can convince myself to bet on them in the preseason. Even under new head coach Arthur Smith, it seems to be the same old preseason Falcons ; getting destroyed by the Titans in Week 1.

Preseason is all about the depth of your roster, and that is one of the Miami Dolphins strengths. Despite losing to the Bears in Week 1, the Dolphins seem to be built for the preseason as they jam-packed with young players looking to make a statement.

Even though the spread is a big one for a preseason game, I’m going to go ahead and take the Dolphins to cover the 5-points.
