The No. 1 team in the country, Auburn, takes their talents on the road to face a surging Arkansas Razorbacks team.

The Hogs have ripped off 8 straight wins dating back to January 12th behind a top 15 defense and a reinvigorated rotation.

Auburn has had a few close calls against far weaker teams than Arkansas and should be on upset alert come Tuesday night. Here are the odds for the SEC clash from WynnBET Sportsbook:

Auburn vs. Arkansas Odds, Spread and Total

Spread:

  • Auburn -2.5 (-110)
  • Arkansas +2.5 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Auburn -140
  • Arkansas +115

Total: 151 (Over -110/Under -110)

Auburn vs. Arkansas Prediction and Pick

While I still believe Auburn is a legitimate National Championship contender, I'm going to be fading them in this tough spot against a streaking Arkansas team.

Bruce Pearl's team played a taxing game on Saturday against the worst SEC team, Georgia, needing a last second shot to escape with a win. Now, they stay on the road play a physical opponent in the Razorbacks, that has a formidable frontcourt to challenge the likes of Jabari Smith and Walker Kessler down low.

Eric Musselman's team is the second best defensive rebounding team in SEC play and are top 30 nationally in limiting transition opportunities for opponents. Auburn loves to run, but Arkansas is capable of limiting a primary part of the Tigers offense.

Both teams are actually struggling to shoot the three, each below 32% in conference games this season, but the real edge is Auburn's inability to generate turnovers, 11th since the start of conference play. Arkansas' offense is still lagging, but the team is able to match Auburn on defense and can limit a possibly fatigued team.

Since the calendar flipped to January, Arkansas is the 13th best team from an efficiency stand point, per barttorvik.com, while Auburn is No. 8. Right now, these teams are closer than the line indicates.

I'm going to buy them as a contender in SEC. Auburn has won 19 straight, but they are ripe for an upset on Tuesday. I love getting over a bucket in this game, but I'd be willing to play the Hogs on the moneyline as well if this drop below +2.

PICK: Arkansas +2.5, play to +110
