Don’t worry Auburn fans, after your team got dominated by Georgia last week, they catch a break and only have to play the No. 9 team in the country on the road. Such is life in the SEC and the Auburn Tigers will have to try to right the ship against the Ole Miss Rebels in Oxford.

Auburn vs. Ole Miss Prediction and Pick

Ole Miss has Jaxson Dart at quarterback and he has been very exciting in Lane Kiffin’s system. He has 1,358 yards in six games with nine touchdowns, but he has also thrown five interceptions. The decision making isn’t perfect, but he can make big plays and that will be enough against an Auburn program with no direction.

Auburn has faced two top 10 teams already this season. They lost 41-12 to Penn State and 42-10 to Georgia last week. Auburn doesn’t have the talent to counter those top teams and the weakness that will truly get exposed this week is their run defense.

Auburn’s rushing defense is ranked 92nd in the nation, they allow 4.35 yards per carry and 163.8 yards per game on the ground. With Lane Kiffin, you might think Ole Miss airs it out, but really they are a dominant rushing team. They have the seventh best rushing offense in the country and go for 5.56 yards per carry and 242 yards per game. It won’t be Jaxson Dart who leads their offense to a blowout win this week, it’ll be Quinshon Judkins, the true freshman who has eight TDs on the ground and 581 yards rushing on 6.1 yards a pop.

Pick: Ole Miss -14 (-110)
