The 2021-22 NHL season is just around the corner!

WynnBET has released a plethora of odds for the upcoming year, including each team’s projected point total. The Colorado Avalanche lead the pack, with an over/under point total of 110.5.

This will be a step forward for the Avalanche compared to the last full NHL season. During the 2018-2019 campaign, Colorado finished with 90 points.

The Avs are also set as the betting favorites at WynnBET to win the Stanley Cup at +600.

They won the Presidents’ Trophy in the shortened 2021 season, but were eliminated in the postseason when they lost four straight games to the Vegas Golden Knights in the second round of the playoffs.

Now that the NHL is returning to its usual season format, the divisions will be back to its original alignment. No team in the league should benefit more than the Avalanche, who will be kings of a weak Central division that includes arguably two of the worst teams in hockey in the Nashville Predators and Arizona Coyotes. No other team in the Central has any chance at challenging Colorado.

A weak division means a weak schedule for Colorado, so surpassing 110.5 points this season isn’t out of the question.

Led by one of the best players in the NHL in Nathan MacKinnon, there’s no question that the Avalanche will be one of the top regular season teams. When it comes to the playoffs however, it’s been a different story with recent history.

Since the wager avoids the postseason, give me the over 110.5 on regular season points for the Avalanche.
