The Colorado Avalanche enter this week of play as one of the hottest teams on the ice right now. The Bruins, meanwhile, are 2-4 in their last six but are getting back Patrice Bergeron tonight as they work back towards full strength. Brad Marchand is still out tonight against an Avalanche team that is 15-2 over their last 17 outings.

These two teams last met on Jan. 26 where Colorado, down 1-3, mounted an epic comeback in the final period to win 4-3. How will the Bruins fare without their leading scorer? Here are the odds for tonight’s matchup, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Avalanche vs. Bruins Prediction and Pick

The Colorado Avalanche has a good shot to stay hot on the road tonight in Boston. The team has a dominant offense led by Nazem Kadri with 63 points so far this season and a top goalie in Dusty Kuemper. When Kuemper is between the pipes, the Avs have lost just five games and while Kadri is on the ice, Colorado is +21.

The Bruins are getting back a key component in Bergeron, but the lack of their best offensive threat will continue to hinder them. RW David Pastrnak is the second leading scorer with 46 points on the year. But the team is just -1 when he is on the ice and I’m not sure that is going to be enough to upset the Avalanche. But, how about an ATS win? Well, the Avalanche are 34-8 against the spread this year, the best record in the NHL. The Avs have a great 13-6 ATS record on the road. I would look for the Avs to continue dominating their opponents as they have over the last month of play.

They are the best team in the NHL right now for a reason. That reason is they are beating the teams they should be, including the Bruins.

Pick: Avalanche -1.5 (+145)
