The Colorado Avalanche let a 3-0 lead slip from their grasp in Game 5 against the Blues, and now the series goes back to St. Louis for a Game 6.

Despite not being able to close out the series and secure a berth in the Western Conference Final, oddsmakers aren't too concerned about their chances to win the Stanley Cup. In fact, their odds shortened from +140 to +120.

Here are the latest odds to win the Stanley Cup via WynnBET Sportsbook.

Odds to Win the Stanley Cup

  • Avalanche +120
  • Lightning +260
  • Hurricanes +650
  • Oilers +650
  • Rangers +1000
  • Flames +2200
  • Blues +3500

Will the Avalanche Win the Stanley Cup?

I personally haven't been the biggest believer in the Avalanche this season, but they have gotten the job done (for the most part) in this postseason. With that being said, no team has had an easier first two matchups. They swept a Predators team that was by far the worst postseason team, and now they get to take on a Blues team who upset one of Colorado's biggest potential challenges in the Wild.

Now, if the Oilers beat the Flames, that will be another series that will break their way. So, potentially, the Avalanche will have an extremely easy path to the Stanley Cup Final.

Still, I don't see any value on them at +120. If they make it to the Stanley Cup Final, and lose Game 1, you could probably get better odds. If they lose Game 1 in the next series, you could still probably get better odds. Also, keep in mind, they aren't past the Blues yet. If they can't win in St. Louis in Game 6, they have a winner-take-all Game 7 they have to deal with.

As much as the Avalanche are probably deserving of being the favorites, now is not the time to bet on them to win the Cup at +120.
