America's team continues to not only win, but cover for America's bettors.

The public once again cashed in on the Dallas Cowboys, who somehow found a way to remain undefeated against the spread this season with a 35-29 overtime victory on the road against the New England Patriots.

New England got the football back after the Patriots failed to convert on 3rd and 3, and NFL MVP candidate Dak Prescott and the Cowboys promptly moved the ball deep into New England territory.

Rather than set up for a field goal, Prescott went for the home run, connecting with CeeDee Lamb from 35 yards out to give Dallas the 6-point win.

The Patriots hovered around 3.5-point underdogs at home before closing at WynnBET at +3. Even for bettors who had New England +3, a game-winning field goal for Greg Zuerlein and Dallas would have at least forced a push, but instead, the touchdown happened and Patriots bettors are left with nothing but a worthless, losing ticket despite being on the right side all day.

Meanwhile, our Peter Dewey, nicknamed by yours truly as "Public Pete" was once again a winner with his Cowboys -3.5. Unbelievable!

Cowboys Remain Undefeated Against the Spread

Despite a 29-27 loss in their Week 1 matchup on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Cowboys are now 5-1 on the season and are now 6-0 against the spread (ATS). The turnaround is striking considering the Cowboys were the worst team ATS in 2020, going just 5-11 against the number.

Will the streak continue next week? The good news for those fading the Cowboys is no, Dallas will not cover the spread in Week 7. The bad news? They're on a bye week, so they won't fail to cover either.

Dallas' next opponent is the 3-3 Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis on Sunday Night Football on October 31st. Dallas is likely to be favored once again on the road, considering Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins' is 8-16 over his career in late games, but spookier things have happened on Halloween.
