A wild sequence of events in Glendale, Ariz led to an absolute gut-punch of a bad beat in Thursday night's Packers vs. Cardinals matchup.

With the over/under right near 50.5 and 51 at WynnBET leading up to kickoff, the under looked like an easy winner with a 10-7 score at halftime. Then, a touchdown barrage throughout the second half brought the score to 24-21 with 10:50 to go in the 4th quarter. One more score and an extra point would take the under out of play.

Initially, it looked like Packers running back Aaron Jones delivered the final blow with 4:46 to play, scoring from 1-yard out to go up 30-21. However, the call ended up being reversed and Aaron Rodgers and the Packers turned the ball over on 4th down on an incomplete pass for Randall Cobb.

Kyler Murray and the Cardinals had to march down the field 99 yards to come back, and while they weren't going to cover the closing spread of -6.5, they still had a great opportunity to win the game outright in regulation and improve to 8-0 with the MVP favorite at the helm.

With 15 seconds left to go, Murray found a matchup he liked with A.J. Green on the outside and fired it towards him, but he inexplicably never turned around. Rasul Douglas of the Packers saw it the whole way and intercepted Murray in the end zone to give Green Bay the 24-21 victory.

With the win, Green Bay now is the number 1 seed in the NFC with Arizona falling to No. 2. The win for Packers was also a win for the sportsbook, with 76.4% of the money backing the Cardinals from where they opened at -3 all the way up to -6.5.

The Cardinals will travel to San Francisco in Week 9 to face the 49ers, while the Packers head to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City for a matchup with the Chiefs.
