The Cleveland Browns will head into the raucous U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis to take on the Minnesota Vikings. And the Vikings fanbase may be the best defense they have, as Minnesota has allowed 290.3 passing yards per game.

On the other hand, Cleveland has allowed just 181.7 passing yards per game. So who will have more passing yards: Baker Mayfield or Kirk Cousins?

Cousins has thrown for 300 or more yards in two of his first three games, throwing for a season-high 351 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals in an overtime loss in Week 1. Last week, Cousins compiled 323 yards against a porous Seattle Seahawks secondary, and ran the offense without Dalvin Cook in the backfield.

Mayfield has just one game of 300 or more passing yards, throwing for 321 yards in Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Trying to keep up with Patrick Mahomes is one way to get to a big passing performance. In the other two games, Mayfield put up 213 yards against the Houston Texans and 246 passing yards against the Chicago Bears. Mayfield didn’t have to do as much to keep up with Tyrod Taylor and Davis Mills or Justin Fields.

WynnBET Sportsbook currently has Cousins’ passing yards prop set at 281.5 (Over -116/Under -115) and Mayfield’s passing yards prop set at 255.5 (Over -116/Under -115).

Cousins is clearly playing a larger role in his offense compared to Mayfield. And with Dalvin Cook still on the fritz, it’s hard to imagine Cousins will take his foot off the gas in this matchup.

Both of these teams have Top-10 offenses in terms of points per game, but Minnesota’s defense has been so poor that I could see Cleveland running the ball a ton to kill the clock and limit potential turnovers.

The Browns are only allowing 67 rushing yards per game to opponents and Cousins will be the focal point of Minnesota’s offense. But, Mayfield gets to face a defense that has been picked apart all season. I like both overs in this one for Mayfield and Cousins’ passing yards props.

The Vikings will lean on Cousins again in this one and I’ll say he’ll have more passing yards than Mayfield.
