Baylor vs. Texas Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for College Football Week 13

Quinn Ewers, Hudson Card, Arch Manning, or even Peyton Manning, it doesn’t matter who your quarterback is when your running back goes for 245 yards and four touchdowns. Bijan Robinson carried the Texas Longhorns to a 55-14 victory over Kansas in Week 12. Now, the 7-4 Longhorns host the Baylor Bears who dropped to 6-5 after they were beaten on a last-second field goal by TCU. 

It’s the Big 12 finale for these two on Friday afternoon in Austin, so let’s take a look at the odds for this one.

Baylor vs. Texas Prediction and Pick

Baylor has had some real tough, close losses this season, but they might have finally had their spirit broken by TCU. The Horned Frogs escaped Waco with a 29-28 win over the Bears even with Baylor out gaining them 501-442. Texas seems to be fighting to the finish line in Steve Sarkisian’s second season at the helm. Last week was arguably their best performance of the season and their quarterback only threw for 107 yards on 12 completions. They just didn’t need Ewers to do anything because of how dominant their run game was. They ran for 427 yards as a team and Robinson went for nearly 10 yards a carry. 

That recipe should work well against Baylor. Dave Aranda’s defense has fallen off massively from last season. They are 46th in the country against the run, but over their last three games they are allowing 179 rush yards per game. 

Their offense should have success, but if Ewers is still unable to complete passes consistently and sustain drives then the Longhorn offense might not be as dominant. The under is 9-0 the last nine times that these teams have played and I can’t go against that type of trend. I like Texas to cover a 7.5 point spread, but my official pick will be the under.
