In Week 8, the Chicago Bears (3-5) lost their third consecutive game, falling to the San Francisco 49ers, 33-22. Despite the loss, rookie quarterback Justin Fields had a promising outing, completing 19-of-27 passes for 175 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Fields additionally ran for 103 yards and a touchdown.

The Pittsburgh Steelers (4-3) won a close game against their AFC North rival Cleveland Browns, 15-10. Both of Pittsburgh’s touchdowns were scored by rookies; running back Najee Harris ran for 91 yards and a touchdown, and tight end Pat Freiermuth caught four passes for 44 yards and a touchdown.

Bears vs. Steelers Prediction and Pick

The Bears offense is dead last in total yards per game and 31st in points scored per game. Justin Fields looked more comfortable this past Sunday, but this offense still has way more questions than answers.

I like to believe that Chicago’s offense looked a little bit better in Week 8 because they didn’t have Matt Nagy on the sidelines, but I digress.

Pittsburgh’s defense has been solid all season, and some people may have written them off too early. The Steelers are allowing only 20.3 points per game, which is seventh in the NFL; better than the Bears defense that is allowing 24.4 points per game.

Chicago’s defense just made the 49ers offense look really good in Week 8, they are going to give up a lot of yards and points to Ben Roethlisberger, Najee Harris, and the Steelers strong receiving corps in Pittsburgh in Week 9.

Pick: Steelers -6.5
