Bears vs. Giants Prediction: Both Offenses Should Struggle in Battle of Over Achieving Teams

The New York Giants suffered their first loss of the 2022 season on Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3, but they find themselves as favorites once again in Week 4 against the Chicago Bears

The Bears are also 2-1 entering this game, but they have looked lost on offense at times, especially with quarterback Justin Fields struggling. The Bears needed a late Davis Mills interception to beat the Houston Texans in Week 3.

Both of these teams were expected to be among the worst in the league this season, but one of them will be 3-1 entering Week 5. The NFL is a crazy league. Does Brian Daboll’s club get back on track at home, or will the Bears find a way to win again behind their defense?

Here are the latest odds for Sunday’s 1 p.m. EST matchup:

Bears vs. Giants Odds, Spread and Total

Bears vs. Giants Odds, Spread and Total Movement in NFL Week 4

There has been minimal line movement in this game, but the Giants did move from three-point favorites to 3.5-point favorites as the week progressed. The total has been all over the place, going from 39 to 38.5 but then back up to 39.5. So, justa half point of movement from earlier this week.

Bears vs. Giants Best Bet and Prediction

These are two teams that I don’t have a lot of confidence in, but I do know one thing:

These offenses STINK.

The Bears currently rank 27th in the NFL in yards per play, and the Giants are even worse, ranking 31st. Defense, turnover luck and timely scoring has helped these two teams start the season 2-1, but I’m having a hard time with the total actual rising in this game.

These two teams rank 30th (Chicago) and 31st (New York) in the NFL in passing yardage and they are both in the bottom half of the league in yards per carry, with the Bears coming in at No. 22 and the Giants at No. 26.

This game is going to be a slog, and after watching the Giants struggle to move the ball against Dallas, I wouldn't be shocked if the Bears’ pass rush has a field day in this game as well.

Go UNDER in what should be an ugly matchup.
