The Chicago Bears have gone from a house cleaning to a full-on Tobias Fünke-esque fire sale.

After Chairman George McCaskey replaced General Manager Ryan Pace and Head Coach Matt Nagy with another "Ryan and Matt" in Ryan Poles and Matt Eberflus, many initially expected a season of transition with the new regime coming in, but not a complete disaster in Year 1.

Now, with former All-Pro linebacker Khalil Mack traded to the Los Angeles Chargers, top wide receiver Allen Robinson playing for the L.A. Rams, and the potential of both edge rusher Robert Quinn and possibly inside linebacker Roquan Smith not being in Chicago the Bears' outlook for 2022 is scaring the daylights out of the oddsmakers.

BetQL Daily host Joe Ostrowski tweeted back in March that he was floored with Chicago's opening number for their win total this season.

After starting Chicago at 7.5 total wins back in late March, the odds have shifted catastrophically towards the under. Here's where every major U.S. sportsbook has the Bears before the start of Week 1 of the NFL's preseason.

Chicago Bears' Win Total at Every Sportsbook

Nobody Wants to Bet on the Chicago Bears in 2022

Despite what Bill Swerski's Superfans from Saturday Night Live may have you believe, oddsmakers can't find any ways to incentivize the betting public to bet on Chicago this year, at least in a positive light.

VSiN's Ben Fawkes talked with multiple traders across several sportsbooks, and the most constant piece of information he found was that nobody is betting on the Bears at 100/1 or higher odds to win the Super Bowl this year.

Furthermore, Ostrowski on a recent radio hit on 670 The Score in Chicago said that after speaking to the Head of Trading at BetMGM, bettors are targeting Chicago in all the negative categories.

"People are getting so creative on how to bet against the Bears. It's not just under that win total. They're betting on the Bears to have the least wins, they're betting under 2.5 division wins, to start 0-4, worst record, number 1 pick, they're just sprinkling all over against this Bears team."

If there's any solace for Bears fans, Chicago has the fourth-easiest schedule in 2022 according to Sharp Football Analysis.

Perhaps Eberflus and company could surprise both the sharps and the betting public this year, but for now, nobody sees it coming.
