We are in the semifinals of the WTA Miami Open and have two good semifinal matches, with Naomi Osaka and Belinda Bencic kicking off the festivities. Both players have dominated the field during this run. They've won every match in straight sets and have a combined two sets in which they lost four games.

The next major isn't until the end of May, but this will be a good chance to get tournament wins and confidence in before the major starts.

Here are the odds for the matchup courtesy of WynnBET

Belinda Bencic vs. Naomi Osaka Prediction and Pick

Although Bencic is the higher seed, I'm going to side with Osaka. Her stats are better across the board, except in one area. Bencic has a higher break points converted percentage, which is exactly where she will need to be excellent in order to beat Osaka.

Osaka is winning 74.8% of her first serves and nearly 81% of her service games. If she's first, there isn't much opponents have been able to do this year. Although her serve is dangerous and I'm picking her to win, I see value in a dramatic three-set match.

In each tournament this year, Osaka has had at least one match go three sets. That hasn't happened yet, but I like Bencic to push her. Bencic's service game percentage is in the 70s, which gives me hope that she can hold her own against Osaka.

Neither player has gone three sets in this tournament, and I think they will have to win one to get to the final.

Lean: Osaka 2-1 (+305)
