The Belmont Stakes will take place this weekend, with a field of around 10 horses competing in the final leg of the three Triple Crown Races.

There won’t be a Triple Crown winner this year, as Kentucky Derby winning horse Rich Strike did not compete in the second leg, the Preakness, which was won by Early Voting.

Early Voting will not be competing in the Belmont Stakes, and neither will the horse that finished second in both races, Epicenter.

Let’s break down everything you need to know about the Belmont Stakes, including the odds and a prediction for the race:

When Is the Belmont Stakes?

The Belmont Stakes will take place on Saturday, June 11 at Belmont Park in Elmont, N.Y. The race will post at 6:45 p.m. EST.

This is the 154th running of the Belmont Stakes and the 111th at Belmont Park. This is a 1.5-mile race and is known as the known as the "test of the champion” since it is the final leg of the Triple Crown.

Belmont Stakes Prediction and Pick

This isn’t the most intriguing Belmont Stakes since there isn’t a chance for a Triple Crown, but be careful wagering on Kentucky Derby Winner Rich Strike, who currently sits at 9/2, or +450 odds to win the race.

Rich Strike was 80/1 in the Derby, albeit a mistake, but there’s a reason oddsmakers had the horse as such a long shot.

Personally, I think Mo Donegal is the horse to bet in this race given jockey Irad Ortiz Jr.’s strong history at the Belmont Stakes. Ortiz Jr. won the Belmont in 2016 and has finished in second and third as well in his seven prior starts.

That experience certainly makes him an interesting jockey to bet on, and Donegal at 5/1 (+500) has longer odds than Rich Strike and We the People to win this year’s race.

Lean: Mo Donegal (+500)
