The final stages of the Champions League are upon us. Liverpool is hoping to make the semi-finals for the first time since 2018-19, when it won it all. Benfica is hoping to play spoiler, but it has a tough task ahead. As giant underdogs, can Benfica pull off the upset today?

Liverpool should start out with a big lead on the aggregate. The Reds were able to move on despite losing their last match to Inter, but that was because of their offensive strength. I expect to see that same fire power today against a team that gave up nine goals in the group stage. 

Benfica finished with a -2 goal differential in group stage and has scraped by in most of its matches. Benfica will have to become something its not today, and that is an offensive juggernaut. Liverpool is going to explode in one of these matches. Benfica needs to counter, but its shown to not have the capabilities to do that consistently.

Expect Liverpool to show up and to show up big.
