Bengals vs. Cowboys Prediction: Burrow, Bengals Knock Rust Off in Week 2
By Josh Yourish
Week 1 did not go to plan for either the Cincinnati Bengals or the Dallas Cowboys. Now, both teams come into Week 2 0-1, except Cincnnati is a lot better off because Joe Burrow is still healthy. He may have thrown four interceptions last week, but the Bengals still put up points and unlike Dak Prescott, Burrow isn’t out for 4-6 weeks.
Cooper Rush will have to try to lead the Cowboys in the meantime, but it could be a lost season in Jerry World.

The Cowboys opened as a two point favorite but that was before Dak Prescott’s injury during Sunday Night Football last week. Now the Bengals are seven point favorites, but it looks like this one could close at 7.5 or even 8.
Bengals vs. Cowboys Best Bet and Prediction
The Bengals looked like a mess on offense in Week 1, but that had to be because of Joe Burrow’s absence through training camp due to his appendectomy. Burrow didn’t play at all during the preseason and reports are that he lost a lot of weight from the surgery. Burrow’s superpower is his vision. That is something scouts like Daniel Jeremiah have been saying since he was at LSU, but he clearly couldn’t use that vision last week. He was throwing into coverage and didn’t look like the same guy that made the Super Bowl last year.
Burrow could be without Tee Higgins this week and there are still questions about how this newly revamped offensive line will perform after getting dominated by Pittsburgh. With all of that being said, and that is certainly a lot, the Bengals still looked so much better than Dallas.
Even before Prescott’s injury it seemed like this Cowboys roster is a disaster. Their offensive line can’t block, they have no receivers outside of Ceedee Lamb, and Zeke Elliot looks well past his prime.
Now, it’s going to get way worse with Cooper Rush at quarterback. The Bengals needed some time to gel and we saw a lot of teams who didn’t play their starters in preseason struggle in Week 1. Now, their offense had four quarters to gel and if it wasn’t for a longsnapper injury the Bengals would be well on their way to 2-0.
Pick: Bengals -7 (-110)
