Bengals vs. Jets Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for NFL Week 8
By Matt De Saro
The Cincinnati Bengals are coming off a big win over the Baltimore Ravens on the road in Week 7 and currently lead the AFC North with a 5-2 record. The Bengals have a much easier task this week as they get the luxury of going head-to-head against the miserable New York Jets.
The Jets' season, meanwhile, has gone from bad to worse with the injury to rookie QB Zach Wilson last week in a loss to the Patriots.
The line opened at 9.5 in favor of the Bengals but will likely shift even further in favor of the Bengals when Wilson is officially listed as out due to a sprained PCL. As of now, the team has yet to confirm the diagnosis, and Wilson is still listed as questionable for Week 8. Here are the current odds for this Week 8 AFC showdown, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Bengals vs. Jets Prediction and Pick
Whether Wilson plays or not has little effect on my opinion of this game, to be honest. Wilson has been a disaster so far this season for the Jets with just 1,168 yards and a TD/INT ratio of 4/9. I thought his season QBR of 24.6 was a typo when I first saw it just now.
Wilson was relieved by Mike White who promptly threw a three-yard touchdown pass to Corey Davis. It was White’s first pass of his career. Predictably, things went downhill quickly from there. White was subsequently picked off twice and finished with a QBR of 47.3.
On the Bengals side of the ball, this offense is playing better than any time in recent memory with Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase firing on all cylinders. I see little chance that anyone on the Jets team can do much to slow that combo down and the Bengals should cruise to another victory. The single-digit spread almost seems like a gift considering the White-led Jets lost by 41 points to the Patriots last week.
Prediction: Cincinnati Bengals -9.5 (-110)
