The Cincinnati Bengals have completely fallen apart over the last few weeks.

First, was a 34-31 loss to the Jets and their backup QB Mike White. Then, in their last game out, they got crushed by the Cleveland Browns 41-16 on their home turf. A week’s rest came at the perfect time for this team but can they capitalize? The Bengals closed as 1-point home favorites against the Browns and, needless to say, they didn’t cover. This leaves Cincinnati 4-5 against the spread (ATS) heading into their Week 11 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders are also coming off a blowout loss after the Chiefs beat the snot out of them 41-14. The loss also came at home for the Raiders and ended their hopes of a playoff run in my eyes.

So, which of these struggling 5-4 teams can bounce back and try to save themselves from slumping even further?

Bengals vs. Raiders Prediction and Pick

The Bengals’ bye week couldn’t have come at a better time. The team was drowning after a strong start to the season and dropped back-to-back games against lesser opponents. The extra rest should benefit the Bengals not only in terms of clearing their heads but also will give CB Chidobe Awuzie a chance to get off the COVID-19 list before Sunday.

The Raiders could use a few bye weeks after the season they have had so far. It seems that all the off-field drama has finally seeped into the locker room as the Raiders have looked like a different team since the release of Henry Ruggs III. The loss to the Chiefs is understandable but getting beat 23-16 by the Giants is another story. I was very high on this team and considered them a dark horse to make a run at the Super Bowl. Those dreams have been dashed by scandal and bad play to the point where I don’t feel good about betting the Raiders for the time being.

I have similar issues with the Bengals after the collapse of their defense and think they will have a hard time containing Carr, Jacobs, and the rest of this offense. This could be a shootout, albeit an ugly one, and will take the over as I have no faith in these defenses to put up much of a fight.
