The Tennessee Titans shockingly earned the No. 1 seed in the AFC despite an onslaught of injuries this year, propelling head coach Mike Vrabel into the front runner for Coach of the Year.

The Titans have been chilling on ice with their first round bye, and now will host the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the playoffs

Let’s get started by looking at the odds via WynnBET.

Bengals vs. Titans Prediction and Pick

This game is going to be fascinating because of the stark difference in offensive styles. We know that Joe Burrow and the Bengals can throw the ball all over the yard, and they’ll attempt to hit big plays to Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins early and often. The Titans, on the other hand, look to see the return of Derrick Henry, and will essentially aim to defeat their opponents in a battle of will and physicality.

This is essentially the 2017 Golden State Warriors vs. the 1990 Detroit Pistons.

The ground game of the Titans, who averaged the most rushing attempts per team in the NFL this season despite not having Henry for half the year, could be a problem for the Bengals. Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs had 83 yards on only 13 attempts last week, while also adding 44 yards through the air. Henry (or D’Onta Foreman) could have a lot of success controlling the clock.

In their final four games of the regular season, the Bengals allowed the seventh-most rushing yards at 468. The Titans will aim to keep Burrow on the sidelines and control the time of possession, while relying on their 12th-ranked defense.

The Bengals and their explosive offense have a chance to pull off the upset, but if I’m going to lean in any direction for this game, it’s to the under. These teams have a tendency to hit the under on a regular basis.

Pick: UNDER 47.0
