Friday's college hoops slate turns its attention to the mid-major ranks and we have one of the best in the Mountain West you'll get all regular season.
San Diego State entered the season as one of analytic darlings of the college hoops landscape, but has flown under the radar, losing a few high level matchups, but still grade out nicely at 17-5 and No. 28 in KenPom. The Aztecs host Boise State, also at 18-5, but has outperformed SDSU this season, ranking No. 25.
Boise State has some injury questions for this one after Marcus Shaver and Naje Smith were hurt in Tuesday's win against Air Force, but this is shaping up to be the best game of the Mountain West regular season.
Both teams figure to be NCAA Tournament teams and are more than capable of competing at a high level, but who will win this early February statement game? Here are the odds:
The other game to keep an eye on is the battle for the top of the Atlantic 10 conference between VCU and St. Louis. Both teams have two losses in league play and this game is incredibly important as its the lone meeting between the two this season. Here are the early odds for this one with the Billikens sitting as small home favorites.
