Week 1 in the EPL was a great week. We went 2-1 and nearly hit on the sprinkle in the Everton-Chelsea match. While Manchester United disappointed and let the controversy get to it, this week may be a little different.

There’s some really intriguing matchups, and I’m ready to dive into my best bets for matchweek 2.

Liverpool vs. Crystal Palace Best Bets

The Gunners weren’t able to get the win they wanted against Fulham, but there were some positives to take away. First, the offense still looked good. They were able to score two goals in the second half and responded to being down each time. Secondly, Mo Salah still looked like his normal self.

On top of that, it was the first match of the season. Things happen. Teams come out excited and some teams overlook their opponents. Liverpool is going to be in the race to win the league all season long. Expect a strong bounce back performance against a Crystal Palace club that wasn’t able to hold up against Arsenal at home.

Pick: Liverpool -1.5 (-165)

Manchester United vs. Brentford Best Bets

This is another team I’m expecting to look better this week. Manchester United laid an egg at home and left with zero points against Brighton. However, the Red Devils are facing a Brentford team that was 13th in the table last season.

United won both matches last year by a combined score of 6-1. There’s still a lot of drama concerning Ronaldo, and the disappointment from last week is still there, so I will simply expect a win and nothing more.

Pick: Manchester United ML (+100)

Chelsea vs. Tottenham Best Bets

This truly is turning into a column about bounce backs. Last season, Chelsea won both matches against the Spurs by a combined score of 5-0. Maybe I’m being blinded by the Spurs big win over Southampton, but I think they can keep pace with Chelsea.

The Blues’ offense, even with the addition of Raheem Sterling, wasn’t able to truly get going. Everton kept the offense down the entire game, only allowing a goal on a penalty in the 9th minute of stoppage time in the first half.

Tottenham pushed the ball forward and was on the attack from the jump. I think the offense shows up again and puts pressure on Chelsea.

Pick: Draw (+240)
