Major League Baseball's regular season may soon be over, but don't tell that to the editors of BetSided.

With less than a week to go, our "Daily Dinger" home run prop bet contest remains in full swing, as BetSided's Peter Dewey moved into second place with his selection of Atlanta Braves slugger Matt Olson to go yard on Wednesday evening at +280 odds.

For Thursday evening, both Peter and Donnavan Smoot are backing the same Texas Ranger in a juicy matchup vs. soft-tossing left-hander Marco Gonzales of the Seattle Mariners, while BetSided's Ben Heisler seems to have found the hottest hitter in baseball that nobody seems to notice. Even better news, the oddsmakers don't appear to have noticed either!

Bryan de la Cruz - Miami Marlins at Milwaukee Brewers

I get that it's hard to find the strength to muster up some Miami Marlins baseball right now, but tuning into see Bryan De La Cruz play baseball right now is not only worth your time, but perhaps your wallet as well.

The 25-year old right fielder has been one of the few bright spots for Miami's offense in the final few weeks of the season. He's hitting .421 in the month of September, but over the last two seven days, he leads the entire National League in isolated power (ISO), with two home runs, and six doubles while hitting .632.

Tonight, the Brewers are back in a hitter-friendly ballpark in Milwaukee against left-hander Eric Lauer. The ERA for Lauer looks solid at just under 4, but his Fielding Independent Pitching suggests he's due for regression at 4.74. He's also allowing a career-high 1.65 HR/9 this year.

Oh, and sportsbooks are hoping you're not watching De La Cruz right now, because he's as high as +900 at some books tonight! - Ben Heisler

Adolis Garcia (+480) – Texas Rangers at Seattle Mariners

Last night I got back on the board in Daily Dinger by fading one of the league’s most home-run prone pitchers, and we’re going back to that mindset on Thursday.

Seattle Mariners lefty Marco Gonzales has allowed 27 home runs in his 30 starts this season, and he’s been particularly bad this month, allowing six homers in four starts.

I’m going to back Texas Rangers center fielder Adolis Garcia to go deep and hit his 26th homer of the year tonight. Garcia has seven homers against lefties this season, and his splits are pretty even no matter a lefty or righty pitcher.

Rather than take Corey Seager, who has shorter odds but is in a lefty on left matchup, I’ll back Garcia to keep Gonzales’ home run struggles going.  – Peter Dewey

Garcia hasn’t hit a home run in two weeks. But he needs some support to break out of his slump and I’m here to give it to him. Marco Gonzales has been shaky recently, giving up six home runs in his last four starts. Gonzales is going to give up multiple dingers, which means Garcia has an even better chance to go yard.

Despite having 11 fewer home runs against lefties, Garcia’s slugging is nearly the same against left-handers as it is against right-handers. He’s in the midst of his second-best slugging percentage of the season, so back Garcia to dominate a struggling pitcher.  – Donnavan Smoot
