Best Home Run Picks Today
Juan Soto - San Diego Padres at New York Mets
San Diego Padres slugger Juan Soto has just three at bats against New York Mets starter Chris Bassitt in his career, but he’s picked up a hit in two of them.
Both teams have launched plenty of homers in this series, with eight homers occurring in the first two games. With the wind blowing out to right center field on Sunday night, I think Soto is a solid pick at over 4/1 odds to go yard, especially since Bassitt has given up nine runs in his two starts against San Diego this season. – Peter Dewey

Francisco Lindor - New York Mets vs. San Diego Padres
Joe Musgrove has allowed 1.1 home runs per nine innings this season, compared to Chris Bassitt, who has allowed 0.9 home runs per nine innings. So, if you’re going to bet on a home run hitter tonight, it’s best to to wager on a New York Met.
Francisco Lindor hit a home run in Game 2, and I’ll wager on him hitting another one in the rubber match tonight. He’s no stranger to hitting home runs in the playoffs throughout his career. He’s already hit six home run dingers in his young career, and I’ll back him to hit a 7th tonight. – Iain MacMillan

Josh Bell - San Diego Padres at New York Mets
The longtime Mets killer struck against Max Scherzer for a two-run shot in the first inning in Game 1, and with similar numbers against Bassitt for his career, I like him to go deep again in Game 3 tonight.
Granted it's a small sample, but Bell has faced Bassitt six times. He has two hits, both left the yard, and also has one walk and just two strikeouts in those plate appearances.
With so much thump in the Padres' lineup, I could see a scenario where Bassitt looks to pitch around Soto and Machado to get to Bell. If so, that could come back to bite the Mets, but could also pay off in a major way on Sunday night.
