Daily Dinger: Best Home Run Picks Today (Buy Alex Bregman's Bat to Stay Hot in ALCS)
Our BetSided team loaded up on the early game from New York in our Daily Dinger selections. While two of the biggest Yankee sluggers went yard in the early going with Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge, we bi-passed the studs for a few bigger longshots on the board that didn't pan out.
And after all that, the team is fading both those boppers yet again today from Houston when they face Justin Verlander and the Houston Astros.
Also, the team is also fading Kyle Schwarber this afternoon from San Diego after hitting an absolute missile in Game 1 last night.
With both rounds officially into LCS territory, here are our favorite anytime home run prop bets for both sets of LCS matchups this Wednesday.

Best Home Run Picks Today
Rhys Hoskins (+400) - Philadelphia Phillies at San Diego Padres
The Phillies, as a whole, have been fantastic against left-handed pitchers this season. One of the players that has contributed to that in a big way is Rhys Hoskins. His batting average increased from .233 against righties, up to .286 against lefties. His slugging percentage also goes up from .430 against righties, to .558 against lefties.
Blake Snell has struggled in starts against Philadelphia this season, and he’s given up two home runs in a combined seven innings pitched. I think he gives up another today, I’ll back Hoskins to go yard at +400. – Iain MacMillan

Juan Soto - San Diego Padres vs. Philadelphia Phillies
Soto has plenty of familiarity with Nola from his time in the NL East.
The two have faced off 47 times, yet Soto has only 33 at bats because he's taken 14 walks against Nola in his career! For a pitcher who finished the season walking only 1.27 hitters per nine innings, that's awfully impressive.
Soto's also taken Nola deep a time or two in all those matchups. Three of his nine hits against him have left the yard, and five of the nine have gone for extra bases.
Nola's been terrific, but he's still prone to a home run ball or two, and the Padres' best hitter at 5/1 odds is awfully tempting. - Ben Heisler
Alex Bregman - Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees
Bregman destroys right handed pitching, slugging over .500 this season with 19 of his 23 homers coming against righties.
He is a reliable postseason power hitter, a .02-percent difference between regular season home run rate and playoff home run rate (he has 13 dingers during his playoff career).
He’ll face Jameson Taillon on Wednesday night at home, a pitcher he has faced six times in his career but has two hits and a home run to his name. I’ll take the longer odds on him to jump on Taillon early. – Reed Wallach

Even through all the series the Astros and Yankees have played, Bregman has never hit a home run against New York. That changes today.
Jameson Taillon has given up a home run in three of his last five starts. Bregman hit a homer in Game 1 of the Seattle series, so why can’t he do it again?
If Taillon starts showing some weakness, don’t be shocked if Bregman is the one to get the Astros’ explosive offense going. – Donnavan Smoot

Yordan Alvarez - Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees
Yordan Alvarez has killed the New York Yankees in his career, and he has a favorable matchup in Game 1 of the ALCS.
The Yankees are starting Jameson Taillon (14-5, 3.91 ERA), who allowed six runs in 5.2 innings in his lone start against Houston this season. In his career against Taillon, Alvarez is 2-for-6 with a home run and three runs batted in.
After crushing a pair of homers in the ALDS, I can’t look away from Alvarez in this spot at home. – Peter Dewey
