Best Home Run Picks Today
Paul Goldschmidt (+300) - St. Louis Cardinals vs. Cincinnati Reds
Not to brag or anything, but I’ve hit back-to-back daily dinger picks. No big deal, but also it’s kind of a big deal.
I’m looking at tonight’s Cincinnati Reds vs. St. Louis Cardinals game as I try to make it three-in-a-row. If you’re going to bet on a player to hit a home run on Thursday night, you’re sort of obligated to go with someone on the Cardinals. They’ll be facing Chase Anderson, who has given up three home runs in only nine innings pitched so far this season.
The Cardinals I’m going to go with is the most obvious, Paul Goldschmidt. Listen, I’m not trying to hit a guy at crazy odds here, I’m just going for three-straight. He already has 35 home runs on the year, and I’ll bet on him hitting his 36th tonight.. – Iain MacMillan

Lars Nootbaar (+650) - St. Louis Cardinals vs. Cincinnati Reds
Nootbaar’s run of success tends to come in streaks, and after going yard in last night’s game vs. the Milwaukee Brewers, I’ll back him at massive odds against an awful starter in Chase Anderson.
The Reds feel compelled to trot out a pitcher allowing a whopping 3.00 home runs/nine innings this season, and I feel obligated to target him as a result. Nootbaar’s numbers are substantially better vs. right-handers with a .240 ISO, or isolated power compared to .133 vs. let-handers.
The Reds feel compelled to trot out a pitcher allowing a whopping 3.00 home runs/nine innings this season, and I feel obligated to target him as a result. The line has since moved from where I got it, but even at +500 it's very good value.
Yordan Alvarez (+285) - Houston Astros vs. Oakland Athletics
Houston Astros slugger Yordan Alvarez has been hot lately, homering in two of his last three games and hitting .303/.452/.606 in the month of September.
He faces Oakland Athletics youngster James Kaprielian on Thursday, who has allowed 16 homers in 22 outings in the 2022 season.
These two have faced off just once in their careers, but with Alvarez swinging a hot bat and at home, I’ll take a shot on him to hit his 34th bomb this season. – Peter Dewey
