We're riding hot with our daily home run picks this week.

After BetSided's Ben Heisler went back-to-back on Tuesday and Wednesday with Daulton Varsho and Joey Votto, Reed Wallach and Iain MacMillan both got back on the board Thursday with Trevor Story and Freddie Freeman each going deep.

As Lou Brown said in Major League II, "that's called a winning streak."

Time to see if we can go four straight days in the green!

During the 2022 MLB season, the BetSided team breaks down our top home run prop bet picks each day in the "Daily Dinger."

WynnBET Sportsbook provides home run prop bet odds for multiple players across each game, but not every batter listed in the article is always available. Top Home Run Picks for Friday, May 27

  • J.D. Martinez (+315) - available at WynnBET
  • Jose Ramirez (+400)
  • Michael Chavis (+425)

J.D. Martinez (+315) - Boston Red Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles

After Paul Goldschmidt of the St. Louis Cardinals stood atop the mantle for the hottest hitter in baseball, Martinez has taken over the thrown. He's boosted his average to the top of baseball at .380, and his weighted runs created plus (wRC+) is third in MLB; trailing only Mike Trout and Aaron Judge.

He has 18 hits in his last SIX games, but the only thing that's missing from his gargantuan week is a ball leaving the yard.

Martinez faces right-hander Kyle Bradish who's allowing more than two home runs per nine innings this year (2.03), and has the wind blowing out to left-center field at 16 mph tonight.

This is a "Daily Dinger" match made in heaven tonight. -- Ben Heisler

Jose Ramirez (+400) - Cleveland Guardians at Detroit Tigers

Shout out to oddsmakers for pumping this line up.

Ramirez is destroying righties this season; hitting .333 with eight of his 11 homers against them.

Now, the switch-hitting third baseman gets to face rookie Alex Faedo. He's has been decent for the Tigers this season, but has struggled with the long ball, allowing more than one homer per 9 innings.

I think the red-hot Ramirez catches him and goes deep. -- Reed Wallach

Michael Chavis (+425) - Pittsburgh Pirates at San Diego Padres

Chavis has the second most home runs on the team, which is all I need to give me the confidence to back him.

He's hitting close to .300 this season and has a good matchup tonight against left-hander Sean Manaea. The Padres pitcher has given up at a homer in five of his eight starts this season and is averaging exactly one homer per start in his last five starts.

He can’t keep the ball in play, so I’m going to back the best hitter on the team right now to take advantage. -- Donnavan Smoot
