We're going streaking!

The Daily Dinger home run prop bet streak reached five straight games, as Reed Wallach's pick of Paul Goldschmidt came through yet again at Busch Stadium in the Rockies-Cardinals matchup.

For Wednesday, we're dipping our toes into the matinee north of the border between the Baltimore Orioles and Toronto Blue Jays, backing a former power stud in hitter-friendly Yankee Stadium, a streaky Texas Ranger in a very favorable matchup, and no surprise, Goldschmidt is back on the menu vs Germán Márquez.

Best Home Run Picks Today

  • Vladimir Guerrero (+370) - BetRivers / SugarHouse Sportsbook
  • Brandon Lowe (+320) - DraftKings Sportsbook
  • Paul Goldschmidt (+420) - Caesars Sportsbook
  • Marcus Semien (+340) - FanDuel Sportsbook

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (+370) Toronto Blue Jays vs. Baltimore Orioles

Vladdy hit a homer on Tuesday, and I’ll back him to stay hot against Austin Voth of the Orioles. For starters, the first baseman has hit 21 of his 25 home runs against righty pitchers and Voth’s numbers are very concerning.

He has an ERA of 5.34 and allows a ton of fly ball contact, over 62%, meaning that if Vladdy is able to barrel one, he is cracking it. Voth has a home run to fly ball rate of 15% over his five year career and we may see him chased early in this one. Reed Wallach

Brandon Lowe (+320) - Tampa Bay Rays vs. New York Yankees

Remember when Brandon Lowe 39 home runs last season? What happened to that guy? He only has eight this year, but I have confidence we’ll see some positive regression from him in the dinger department down the final stretch of the season.

Tonight, he and the Rays take on the Yankees and starting pitcher Domingo Gérman. Gérman has given up 1.5 home runs per nine innings this season, and the Yankees bullpen has given up 0.8 home runs per nine innings this month, which ranks 15th in the Majors.

I’ll back Lowe to hit his first home run since August 4th tonight. - Iain MacMillan

Paul Goldschmidt (+420) St. Louis Cardinals vs. Colorado Rockies

St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt has been one of the best hitters in all of baseball this season, and he has a favorable matchup against a familiar face in St. Louis on Wednesday.

Colorado Rockies starter Germán Márquez has been extremely home-run prone this year, allowing 21 long balls in 22 starts, and he has struggled against Goldy in his career.

In 37 career at bats against Marquez, Goldschmidt has 15 hits, four home runs and sports an impressive .405/.488/.811 slash line. I’ll back Goldy to stay hot against Marquez on Wednesday.   – Peter Dewey

Marcus Semien (+340) - Oakland Athletics vs. Texas Rangers

Just a handful of days after moving on from manager Chris Woodward, the Rangers made yet another major firing; relieving longtime GM Jon Daniels of his duties on Wednesday morning.

Semien was one of the major splashes Texas made this offseason to get back into the playoff race, but hit just one home run in the first two months of the season before coming alive in the summer.

So far in August, Semien has smacked four home runs, and has a terrific matchup vs. Athletics starter Adam Oller, who’s allowed six home runs over his last five starts, doesn’t miss bats with a K/9 of 5.77, while also walking the ballpark at just over five walks per nine innings.

Semien’s power splits have been much better vs. right-handers this year; taking 14 of his 18 total dingers off right-handed pitching. I’ll back him to hit his 15th, and 19th overall tonight. - Ben Heisler
