Best Home Run Picks Today

José Ramírez – Cleveland Guardians vs. Kansas City Royals

There aren’t a ton of pitchers that I am looking to fade on tonight’s slate, but Kansas City Royals starter Daniel Lynch is one of them, as he’s been prone to the long ball this season.

Lynch has given up 20 homers in 26 appearances and he’s allowed seven homers over his last five starts, including three games with multiple home runs allowed. Ramírez has gone deep 29 times this season, and he’s 3-for-6 against Lynch in his career.

At +430, Ramirez has some value to go yard tonight. – Peter Dewey

Anthony Santander - Baltimore Orioles vs. Toronto Blue Jays

The real slugger of the AL East is Santander, who has six in his last 12 games and now gets to face soft tossing Mitch White who has struggled a ton over his last four appearances.

The former Dodgers swing man has an ERA of 7.88 in that span and will face Santander, who is crushing the ball lately. They will keep lining Santander north of +400 and we will keep on cashing. - Reed Wallach

Teoscar Hernández - Toronto Blue Jays at Baltimore Orioles

I’ve been swinging and missing on a few of these since I locked up the regular season “Daily Dinger” championship belt, but I’ll continue to take the value on red-hot hitters that haven’t yet been properly adjusted by the sportsbooks.

Tonight, that slugger is Blue Jays outfielder Teoscar Hernandez who owns a .692 batting average over his last 13 at-bats to go along with three home runs, an isolated power (ISO) of .846, a slugging percentage (SLG) of 1.538, and a weighted-runs-created-plus (wRC+) of 551.

Tonight, he gets Orioles starter Mike Baumann who has almost no swing-and-miss in his game; recording just 19 strikeouts in 28 innings of work.

David Villar - San Francisco Giants vs. San Diego Padres

Sean Manea gets the start for the San Diego Padres tonight, and he has one of the highest home run rate amongst starting pitchers in MLB.

He has a 5.15 ERA and he’s giving up 1.7 home runs per nine innings, so if you’re looking for a good team to bet on to hit a home run, the Giants tonight are a good group to look at. I’m going to take their rookie third baseman, David Villar.

Villar’s splits are much better against lefties. His slugging increases from .276 against righties, to 6.19 against lefties. Five of his seven home runs he’s hit this year has also come against left-handed pitchers, so I’m going to back him to hit a dinger tonight. – Iain MacMillan

Shohei Ohtani – Los Angeles Angels vs. Oakland Athletics

Ohtani was extremely quiet this past month. He’s only hit two home runs in the last 28 days and none in the last two weeks. However, he just signed a new deal and will face a struggling pitcher today, all creating a perfect matchup.

Cole Irvin, Oakland’s pitcher today, has given up six home runs in his last three starts. Ohtani has only hit 9 homers against lefties this season, but backing one of the best hitters in the game against a wobbly pitcher is too good to pass today. – Donnavan Smoot
