Home Run Picks for Sunday Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees

  • Giancarlo Stanton (+370)
  • Rafael Devers (+450)

Giancarlo Stanton (+370)

Giancarlo Stanton has homered in six straight games against the Boston Red Sox, and I think he makes it seven straight tonight.

Yes, Stanton is prone to striking out, he did it four times on Opening Day, but the Yankees slugger is always a danger to leave the yard, especially with the short porch in right field.

The Red Sox will start Tanner Houck tonight, who allowed just four homers in 69 innings last season, but Boston’s bullpen is really who I’m fading in this spot. Stanton has homered against Boston’s pen in three of those games.

I don’t see Houck giving Boston enough length until it inevitably turns things over to the pen, and that’s when I expect Stanton to strike. -- Peter Dewey

Rafael Devers (+450)

Devers already went yard this weekend against the Yanks and as a left handed batter can use the short porch in right field to go deep.

Not to mention, Devers has a ton of success against the Yankee starter Jordon Montgomery, who has 5 hits in 20 at bats and has taken him yard as well.

This is the perfect mix of fantastic hitter conditions for a left handed batter and an All-Star talented to take a stab at a dinger on Sunday night. -- Reed Wallach
