Over the course of the 2022 season, the BetSided team is putting our heads together to share our favorite picks across Major League Baseball for our top home run picks of the day.

WynnBET Sportsbook offers home run odds for several players in each MLB matchup, but not all players mentioned in the article are always available. Bettors can still wager on all these games as well as take advantage of several other unique prop bet opportunities.

Odds shown are consensus.

Best Home Run Picks for Monday, April 18

  • Ji-Man Choi (+500)
  • Brandon Lowe (+350)
  • Wander Franco (+750)
  • Freddie Freeman (+475)

Ji-Man Choi (+500) - Tampa Bay Rays vs. Chicago Cubs

Tampa's first baseman is seeing the baseball like a beach ball through the first three series of the year.

Via MLB writer Sarah Langs, Choi has chased the fewest number of pitches out of the zone amongst all qualified hitters in 2022.

Choi gets Kyle Hendricks and the Cubs tonight, who comes off a rough outing in Pittsburgh; giving up six runs in 3 2/3 innings his last time out. Opponents are projected for an xwOBA (expected weighted on-base average) up near .431 (league average is .320).

The wind at Wrigley Field is blowing straight out to right field, at up to 19-20 mph, so Choi from the left side offers fantastic value at 5/1 odds to leave the yard, even in cool weather.

Brandon Lowe (+350) - Tampa Bay Rays vs. Chicago Cubs

The wind is going to be blowing out Wrigley Field on Monday night, and I think we see quite a few long balls between the Tampa Bay Rays and Chicago Cubs.

I’m going to back the Rays’ Brandon Lowe to go yard in this one, as he leads the team with three homers already this season. Chicago is sending Kyle Hendricks to the mound, and the veteran has already allowed a homer this season and allowed 31 homers in the 2021 campaign.

Hendricks also allowed the most hits in baseball last season (200), so don’t be surprised if the Rays lineup jumps on him early, with Lowe going deep, of course. -- Peter Dewey

Wander Franco (+750) - Tampa Bay Rays vs. Chicago Cubs

Franco hasn't gone deep so far this season, but has a MLB best 16 hits and playing in hitter friendly conditions at Wrigley Field with the wind blowing 19 miles per hour out of the park.

This number is too juicy not to play. -- Reed Wallach

Freddie Freeman (+475) - Atlanta Braves vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

Freddie Freeman has yet to hit a home run this season, but I refuse to believe that will continue.

He gets a good chance to break that streak tonight when he faces his former team, the Atlanta Braves. They're trotting out starter Huascar Ynoa, who gave up five earned runs and one homer in only three innings pitched so far this season.

Freeman will go yard tonight. -- Iain MacMillan
