After a red-hot start to the week with multiple home runs on Monday and Tuesday night in our "Daily Dinger" selections, the BetSided team went 0-for on Wednesday night.

For Thursday's smaller slate, we're attacking two teams down south with two hitters on the opposing side that have each hit 20-plus dingers on the season; both offered at very solid odds.

Here are our top home run betting prop plays for the first of September, with all odds listed below.

Best Home Run Picks Today

Corey Seager - Texas Rangers vs. Boston Red Sox

Seager’s been on fire lately and gets a plus-matchup at home against 42-year old southpaw Rich Hill this evening.

Over the last week, Seager ranks seventh in baseball in isolated power (ISO) at .474, with three home runs in his last five games.

He also has reverse splits, meaning he’s had better success from the left side against left-handed pitching than vs. right-handers. Seager owns a weighted-on-base average of .373 vs. left-handers, along with a .263 ISO.

Hill ranks in the 22nd percentile in expected slugging via MLB Statcast, and just in the 12th percentile in whiff %, so if Seager sees a pitch he likes, expect him to clobber it. - Ben Heisler

There aren’t a lot of starting pitchers today that are consistently giving up home runs, but Rich Hill is one of them. He’s allowed three dingers in his last five starts and three in the last four. Today, he’ll have to keep Corey Seager from going yard – which has been a tough task as of late. Seager has hit three home runs in his last three games and has 29 homers on the year.

Hill is the most fade-able pitcher on the market tonight, and I’ll do just that. Donnavan Smoot

Marcell Ozuna - Atlanta Braves vs. Colorado Rockies

Chad Kuhl has struggled to say the least when playing on the road this season. Most pitchers for the Rockies can blame Coors Field for their woes, but Kuhl certainly can’t.

He sports a 6.02 ERA on the road and he’s given up 11 home ruins in 12 starts away from home. Today, he has to face the Atlanta Braves so I’d suggest backing a Braves player to hit a dinger today.

I’ll opt for Marcell Ozuna, who has already hit 20 home runs this season. I think he can hit his 21st tonight. - Iain MacMillan
