Best Home Run Picks Today

Bryce Harper - Philadelphia Phillies vs. San Diego Padres

Has there been anyone hotter than Bryce Harper this postseason?

The Phillies star already took Yu Darvish yard in Game 1 of this series, and he’s been on an absolute tear the entire postseason.

This is likely going to be a low-scoring game, so the home run may be the only way for either team to really make a splash. Given Harper’s play this postseason and his success against Darvish, he’s worth a bet at this price to go deep in Game 5. – Peter Dewey

Kyle Schwarber - Philadelphia Phillies vs. San Diego Padres

The Phillies are locked in offensively against a Padres team that looks to be overmatched on the mound, and the man who got the bomb show started in the early portion of the series was Kyle Schwarber.

As a matter of fact, his moonshot off Yu Darvish still might not have landed.

Schwarber has gotten the better of his former teammate in Chicago multiple times in his career, hitting .364 with a 1.000 slugging percentage against Darvish. Three of his four hits have gone for extra bases, two of which have left the yard.

The Phillies look like an unstoppable bunch right now, and Darvish's home/road splits do not set up well for him in Philadelphia today.

Jose Altuve - Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees

The Astros face Nestor Cortes in Game 4 on Sunday night, so if we want to bet on someone to hit a home run, we should target someone who can smash lefties.

That someone, for me, is Jose Altuve. His slugging percentage this season increases from .487 against righties, to .660 against lefties. He’s also yet to hit a home run this postseason, which leads me to believe he’s going to go yard tonight.

He’s my pick at +430, to keep my MLB playoff hot streak alive. – Iain MacMillan
