Over the 2022 season, the BetSided team of editors debate and share our best home run prop bet picks of the day in Major League Baseball.

WynnBET Sportsbook offers home run odds for several players in each MLB matchup, but not all players mentioned in the article are always available. Bettors can still wager on all these games as well as take advantage of several other unique prop bet opportunities.

Odds shown are consensus if they are not available at WynnBET. If listed as TBD, it means odds have not been made available as of this writing.

Best Home Run Picks for Wednesday, April 27

  • Manny Machado (+285) -- available at WynnBET
  • Giancarlo Stanton (+280) -- available at WynnBET
  • Ty France (+650)
  • Marcell Ozuna (+270) -- available at WynnBET
  • Jorge Polanco (+500)

Manny Machado (+285) - San Diego Padres vs. Cincinnati Reds

Two of Machado’s three home runs this season have come against the Reds and that’s exactly who he’s playing tonight. Machado has been making good contact with the ball and is comfortable against Cincinnati.

He’ll be facing Vladimir Gutierrez, who has an ERA of 5.54 on the season. If Gutierrez pitches the way he’s been this year, Machado will certainly get his bat on the ball tonight. -- Donnavan Smoot

Giancarlo Stanton - Baltimore Orioles vs. New York Yankees

Giancarlo Stanton will get on the board in Daily Dinger one of these days, and after the New York Yankees slugged five home runs on Tuesday night against the Baltimore Orioles, I’m going to look at one of their stars to go yard tonight.

Stanton has been slumping a bit since a hot start to the season, but he did hit an RBi single on Tuesday. With Anthony Rizzo leading the Majors in homers and Aaron Judge and Joey Gallo (yes, he actually did something positive) going deep on Tuesday, I think tonight’s the night we see Big G leave the yard.

Orioles starter Tyler Wells has already allowed two homers this season, and he comes into this game with a 6.75 ERA in just eight innings pitched.

Stanton goes yard tonight. Book it. -- Peter Dewey

Ty France (+650) - Seattle Mariners vs. Tampa Bay Rays

If you don’t know by now, France is an absolute wagon. He’s hitting .368 with an MLB best 25 hits and 21 RBI’s, going deep 5 times.

One of the hottest hitters in baseball at this price? I’m all over it. -- Reed Wallach

Marcel Ozuna (+270) - Chicago Cubs vs. Atlanta Braves

Marcell Ozuna already has four home runs this season, and I think he adds to that total tonight.

The Braves will face Mark Leiter Jr. of the Cubs tonight, and he's been abysmal so far this year. He's given up two home runs in only 7.1 innings pitched this season, and things won't get much easier for him tonight. In his last full season, he gave up an average of 2.7 home runs per nine innings.

I think we're getting some value on Ozuna to go yard tonight -- Iain MacMillan

Jorge Polanco (+500) - Detroit Tigers vs. Minnesota Twins

This is a dream scenario matchup for Polanco vs. former Twins starter Michael Pineda. Via FantasyLabs, Pineda has gotten obliterated by left-handed pitching in the power department; allowing a .204 ISO (league average is .140); which details the number of extra bases a player average per at-bat.

Polanco owns a .242 ISO vs. right-handers, so it's about as perfect of a matchup as one could find.

He's also due to break out of a mini-slump and Pineda on the bump may be the ideal antidote. -- Ben Heisler
