With a full slate of games to digest in the MLB on Saturday, I wanted to compile a few plays to fill out a winning parlay. On the menu today, we have a pitching mismatch, a team that is pretending to be better than they are, and a misstep by the bookmakers to exploit.

• New York Yankees ML vs. Chicago White Sox (-210)
• San Diego Padres ML at San Francisco Giants (+140)
• LA Dodgers ML at Philadelphia Phillies (+110)

Yankees ML vs. White Sox (-210)

The Yankees are really on fire right now. They are beating up on teams left and right, leading the AL East, and have the best record in the entire league entering play today. The White Sox, on the other hand, are a good team playing terrible baseball this year. Yes they are back in the mix for the AL Central, but this is a division they should have run away with. With Dallas Keuchel on the hill, I don’t expect them to be all that competitive today. Nestor Cortes could shut this offense down while Keuchel implodes and crashes game one of this parlay. 

Padres ML at Giants (+140)

The Giants are heavily favored in this game despite trailing the Padres in the NL West, losing four of their last six, and dropping last night’s series opener 8-7. I’m not saying the Giants are a bad team, but I don’t get why they are favored here. Despite the home-field advantage, I think the Padres have a significant edge on the mound today. Joe Musgrove is 4-0 with a 2.20 ERA and 0.93 WHIP with a strong strikeout to walk rate. I love the opportunity to grab the Padres as +140 with their best arm on the hill. 

Dodgers ML at Phillies (+110)

I usually don’t have one plus money game in a parlay, let alone two. But I just had to add this game with the Dodgers at this price. LA might be the best team in the league and have no business being underdogs to the Phillies in this spot. Yes, they are banged up and will be short handed on the mound this weekend. But, that is a problem for tomorrow. They have the depth to win this game on the back of their offense despite lacking a true starter for this afternoon.
