Thursday’s MLB slate offers a bunch of mismatches on the card for us to exploit. Let’s take a few and build a winning Parlay and make the most of these unbalanced games. All odds used below are courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Best MLB Parlay Picks for Thursday

  • Astros RL vs. Royals (-165)
  • Phillies ML vs. Nationals (-170)
  • White Sox RL vs. Tigers (-120)

A $25 wager would win $91.91 if it hits!

Astros RL vs. Royals (-165)

As far as mismatches go, this game is a big one. Ageless wonder Justin Verlander has been downright dominating the league this season. The 39-year-old is 10-3 with a 2.03 ERA and 0.83 WHIP. He’s a favorite to win the Cy Young and is beating up on much better teams than the Royals lately. Last week Verland played both New York teams and held them to a combined one run over 15 innings. The Royals are far from as good as those teams and Verlander could silence this lineup in his sleep.

Phillies ML vs. Nationals (-170)

While the last play is based on my faith in a historically good pitcher, this pick is the exact opposite. Joan Adon will suit up again for the Nationals despite not registering a win since April 19. The Nationals have lost the last 10 starts by Adon and are actually getting worse. Adon’s season ERA is 6.97 but in his last three starts, that figure ballooned to 10.13. Adon’s latest failure was against this very same Phillies lineup where he gave up four runs in five-inning for his 11th loss of the year.

White Sox RL vs. Tigers (-120)

Our third and final mismatch of the day pits Dyan Cease (7-3) up against an awful Detroit Tigers team. After a shaky May where his ERA hit 3.98, Cease snapped back and posted an absurd 0.33 ERA in five starts last month. He’s one of the best in the game right now and the Tigers are in for a rough day if Cease is on his game. Detroit may be on a four-game winning streak, but they are going to run into a brick wall this afternoon.
