There are some really good pitchers leading their teams as big favorites on the MLB slate today. Sure we could take these two teams just to win and parlay them together, but that is not going to get us the odds that we need for this parlay to really hit.

So trust me because these favorites aren’t just going to win tonight, they are going to win big and cover that spread easily. I mean what’s a run and a half when you have Zack Wheeler or Shohei Ohtani on the mound?

Best MLB Parlay Today

Phillies -1.5 (-115) vs. Pirates

The Pirates just got swept in a quick two-gamer at Wrigley Field and do not seem to be charging coming out of the all-star break. The Bucs have just one win since the break and they only managed one run in the game that they did win, 1-0 against Miami.

Wheeler’s last start before the break was not good, but I see it as more of a blip on the radar, than a reason for concern. His first outing since then was seven innings of one run ball against Chicago.

It feels like a big win is coming for the Phillies, who beat Atlanta 7-2 last time out.

Rangers vs. Angels -1.5 (-110)

I wrote earlier today that the Angels don’t deserve Shohei Ohtani and should move off of him before this year's deadline, and while I do believe that this team is too pitiful to deserve Ohtani, he is still there and is still a superstar on the mound.

Ohtani lost his last outing, but prior to that, the Angels won six straight Ohtani starts. Even with Mike Trout injured, Shohei is all that the Angels need to win big against Texas. The Rangers are 1-5 in the unofficial second half of the year. All of those games have come against AL West opponents on the road.

The “Pocket Aces” Parlay +257

  • Rangers vs. Angels -1.5 (-110)
  • Phillies -1.5 (-115) vs. Pirates

Sure, it isn’t the longest odds you’re going to find on a parlay today, but it will be a winner and that’s what’s important.
