It's the first day of July, we've got a holiday weekend in store, and fireworks sure are easier to afford if you've got an extra wad of cash in your pocket from a whopping MLB parlay.

There's 15 games on today's slate and the BetSided team has the board covered from every angle, so be sure to check out our previews for each matchup.

I've selected my favorite plays and am ready to kick this weekend off with a bang. Using the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook, here are my favorite MLB parlay picks of the day:

Best MLB Parlay Picks Today

Rays (+130) vs Blue Jays

Josh Yourish hit the nail on the head with this one. There's just absolutely no way Jose Berrios should be a -140 favorite over a little league team, let alone a professional one. It's hard to overstate how bad he's been. His 6.43 expected ERA ranks dead-last among all qualified pitchers and he's given up 14 runs in his last 6.2 innings. Just look at his MLB Statcast Pitching Profile and tell me he should be favored over anyone :

Corey Kluber, meanwhile, compiled a 2.54 ERA in June and has allowed three or fewer runs in eight consecutive starts. The Rays' lineup is struggling, but Berrios is the perfect antidote. Take the plus money on the visitors behind the significantly better pitcher.

Braves -2.5 (-105) vs Reds

Taking a team to win by three runs is a risky proposition, but it's the right call with Max Fried taking on Mike Minor.

Minor is on the short-list for "Worst Starters in MLB" and Atlanta will welcome the step-down in competition after tough series against the Dodgers, Giants, and Phillies. The Reds have lost five straight as home underdogs, all by multiple runs, and I've got no faith whatsoever that they'll take down a Braves squad that's won 10 of 12 as road favorites by a combined score of 76-35.

In five starts, Minor has given up 10 home runs and has a 7.71 ERA. The Braves average the second-most home runs per game in the league and have won seven straight behind Fried. This is a huge mismatch and we've got a blowout in store.

Astros (-158) vs Angels

I've got a lot of faith in Cristian Javier today against an Angels team that's 2-13 in their last 15 as road underdogs.

Javier was electric against the Yankees last week, throwing seven no-hit innings while striking out 13. Los Angeles strikes out at the second-highest rate in MLB and I don't see how they score today. Michael Lorenzen had a 6.75 ERA in June while struggling with command.

The Astros have won five of six as home favorites and should stay hot against an inferior opponent.

Dodgers (-165) vs Padres

Dating back to last season, the Padres have lost nine consecutive starts by Blake Snell. He's 0-5 with a 5.60 ERA this year and ranks in the 10th percentile in walk rate.

That's bad news against a patient Dodgers team starting their ace, Tony Gonsolin. The 28-year-old righty had a 1.24 ERA in June and sports a truly ridiculous 9-0 record and 1.58 ERA.

Gonsolin has allowed two or fewer runs in every single start this year while also limiting his opponent to five or fewer hits each time.

Roll with the home squad to keep chugging behind Gonsolin and leave Snell still searching for his first win since August of 2021.

MLB Parlay for July 1, 2022

The "Bets Bursting in Air" Parlay (+1078)

  • Rays (+130) vs Blue Jays
  • Braves -2.5 (-105) vs Reds
  • Astros (-158) vs Angels
  • Dodgers (-165) vs Padres

No better time than right now to nail a big parlay, and I'm looking to maintain my undefeated record in July, 2022.

Be sure to add your favorite plays from the BetSided team's previews, but keep these four wagers in mind as you're filling out your bet slip at WynnBET.

Best of luck and let's get after it!
