Baseball is back, Opening Day is here and I’m ready for some parlays. Here’s a small, yet aggressive one to kick the season off. 

This particular parlay has +535 odds over at WynnBET Sportsbook, meaning a $100 dollar bet would profit $535 dollars. With two plus-money plays and an underdog mixed in, let’s look at a fun parlay to start off the season.

Atlanta Braves ML vs. Cincinnati Reds (-180)

The Braves open up their title defense on the road today against the Reds. Atlanta has Max Fried on the mound, who is tied for the seventh shortest odds to win the NL Cy Young. The Braves were also better on the road than they were at home last year, making this a familiar spot for them. I think the Braves ride his pitching and the excitement from trying to get a second World Series chip and get the win. 

Houston Astros ML vs. Los Angeles Angels (+104)

The Astros have a bit of a different look this season and start on the road in Los Angeles. They play their first game without Carlos Correa or George Springer today, but Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman are still there.

This game will come down to pitching, with Shohei Ohtani facing off against Framber Valdez. I’ll back Valdez to get off to a good start and expect to see some home runs for the Astros’ explosive offense.

Mets vs. Nationals OVER 9.5 Runs (+100)

The Mets and Nationals both have a lot going on when it comes to their pitching situations long term. Neither of them have a true ace on the mound today, however. With Tylor Megill and Patrick Corbin taking the mound, I expect a lot of nerves and hits from both teams.

This is a game where the bats are more important than the arms, so I’m okay expecting a lot of runs today.
