Best MLB Parlay Picks Today (Braves, Orioles Among Matchups to Target)
By Joe Summers
It's supposed to be 101 degrees here in Kansas City this afternoon, but even that scorching temperature isn't as hot as these parlay picks are about to be.
The BetSided team has you covered with previews for each game on today's loaded MLB slate, but I've identified a few matchups dripping with so much value that we have no choice but to fire up a parlay.
Using the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook, here are my favorite MLB parlay picks of the day:
Best MLB Parlay Picks Today
Marlins (-158) vs Phillies
We're turning up the heat with these picks and there's no hotter pitcher to back than Sandy Alcantara.
Alcantara is a legitimate superhero. He's racking up innings like it's 1930 and seems to get better with each start, allowing just two runs over his last 24 innings.
The Marlins are 12-3 in their last 15 as a home favorite while Phillies' starter Kyle Gibson has a 5.22 ERA on the road. With Alcantara putting forth a legitimate MVP type of season, I'll happily back him at home at just -158 odds.
Braves (-160) vs Nationals
If Alcantara is a superhero, then Patrick Corbin is Wile E. Coyote. No matter what, he's going to look embarrassed at the end of the day. Dating back to last season, Washington is 4-15 in Corbin's last 19 starts and his 5.77 expected ERA is among the worst marks in MLB.
Ian Anderson, meanwhile, is turning things around after a rough start to the year. He's got a 2.61 in two July starts, including a win over these Nationals his last time out.
Washington is 1-10 in its last 11 as a home underdog while the Braves are 13-3 in their last 16 as road favorites. In this house we fade Patrick Corbin, and I'm thrilled to see how Wile E. Corbin sees his plan foiled yet again tonight.
Blue Jays -1.5 (-165) vs Royals
Toronto suffered an embarrassing loss to Kansas City yesterday but I expect a dominant performance today from Alek Manoah. He's at home, after all, where the Blue Jays are 12-3 in his last 15 starts.
He's in the 97th percentile in average exit velocity and sports a 2.21 home ERA this season.
As dominant as Manoah is at home, Zack Greinke is equally bad on the road. He has a 7.46 road ERA and going back to 2021, his team is 2-8 in his last 10 starts away from home.
Trust the Blue Jays' powerful lineup to bounce back and give Manoah another home win.
Orioles (+116) vs Rays
Now here is where the parlay really gets spicy. Winners of 10 straight, the surging Orioles suddenly find themselves in the playoff hunt and send perhaps their best starter to the mound today, Tyler Wells.
Baltimore has eight straight wins behind Wells, returning a $100 moneyline bettor $947.98. He's been dominant, and yet the Orioles are still undervalued in his starts.
Oddsmakers' loss is our gain though, and I'll keep backing Wells in favorable spots until the world catches up with him.
Guardians (-175) vs Tigers
To round out our parlay, I'm backing my beloved Cleveland Guardians in a spot they're dominant in. Zach Plesac has a 2.05 ERA in his career against the Tigers and had seven consecutive quality starts before a hiccup against Kansas City last week.
With a 2.85 ERA at home and undefeated record as a favorite of -170 or more, Plesac is in great shape to get back on track against a Tigers team that's 1-6 in its last seven as a road underdog.
Roll with Cleveland to improve to 13-3 in its last 16 as a home favorite as Plesac continues his great play against Detroit.
MLB Parlay for July 15, 2022
The "Turn The Heat Up" Parlay (+1347)
- Marlins (-158) vs Phillies
- Braves (-160) vs Nationals
- Blue Jays -1.5 (-165) vs Royals

Isn't it beautiful! We've got five games on tap that I love the value in and I think we're coming away sweating in dollars tonight.
Be sure to utilize the BetSided previews as you craft your own parlay at WynnBET Sportsbook, but these are the wagers I'm rolling with.
Best of luck as always - let's get after it!
