My partner is moving a couple of hours away temporarily for a new job, and it's reminded me how much I cannot stand the act of moving. It's expensive, my back always hurts, and I wind up never unpacking anything until the next move anyway.

All that is to say, I'm grateful I've had to work all day and have a perfect excuse not to help much. Does that make me a bad partner? In some ways, yes. But if I can make some coin with an excellent MLB parlay, then I may in fact be a very good partner.

At the least, I could be one that helps pay for moving costs. Fingers crossed!

Using odds from WynnBET Sportsbook, here are my favorite MLB parlay picks of the day. You can also make this same parlay over at FanDuel Sportsbook as well.

Best MLB Parlay Picks Today

Cubs (-140) vs Reds

The Chicago Cubs are 5-1 in their last six games against the Cincinnati Reds and I'm thrilled with the short price we get in this matchup. Why? Because Mike freakin' Minor is pitching for Cincy. He's improved a bit of late, but that improvement is a 5.45 ERA this month. He's still terrible.

Minor's team is 3-20 in his last 23 starts and he's got an expected FIP (Fielding Independent Pitching) above 5.03 in five of his last six road starts. That mark would easily be the worst in MLB on the season. With MLB's worst bullpen backing him up, I don't see the Reds finding success today.

Javier Assad hasn't yet allowed a run as a starter and gives Chicago a clear advantage. Back the Cubs to improve to 7-3 in their last 10 games as home favorites.

Astros (-270) vs Rangers

Congratulations to the Texas Rangers for snapping a nine-game losing streak yesterday, but I'm still fading them with Cole Ragans taking on the Houston Astros. Just last month, Houston tagged Ragans for five runs in 4.1 innings with three walks in a victory. I see the same unfolding tonight.

Cristian Javier has pitched against the Rangers well this season and ranks among MLB's best starters in a number of key categories. Houston has advantages offensively and defensively to pair with its pitching edge, so I'm confident in the Astros to avenge last night's loss in resounding fashion.

Diamondbacks +1.5 (-105) vs Padres

The Arizona Diamondbacks have covered the run line in seven consecutive games as road underdogs, winning five of those matchups outright. Meanwhile, the San Diego Padres failed to cover the run line in each of their last eight games as home favorites, losing five of those outright.

Maybe I'm a sucker for trends, but I've got faith in Arizona and can't trust this Padres club. Yu Darvish is strong at home, but the Padres are 1-4 on the run line in his last five starts and the Diamondbacks have MLB's fourth-best OPS against right-handed pitchers over the last three weeks.

When you're hot, you're hot, and Arizona's weather isn't the only thing with high temperatures right now. These clubs are going in opposite directions as San Diego desperately tries to hang onto a playoff spot, and I think the Diamondbacks take advantage of the pressing Padres.

MLB Parlay for September 7, 2022

The "Movers are Expensive" Parlay (+359)

  • Cubs (-140) vs Reds
  • Astros (-270) vs Rangers
  • Diamondbacks +1.5 (-105) vs Padres

Bang, bang! This is the stuff dreams are made of. Odds of +359 pay out $89.66 on a $25 bet, which is at least enough to cover a tip for movers. Those folks aren't cheap.

Be sure to check out BetSided's MLB previews for the matchups on tonight's slate as well, and let's cash us a glorious parlay together.

Best of luck as always. Let's get after it!
