Hold onto your hats - we've got a wild day in store.

It's not even 11:00 AM here in Missouri and my phone is blowing up with all of the latest trade news. The BetSided team will keep you updated with the latest around MLB, but there's still a job to stay focused on here.

While the league is in a flurry, we can strike. There's 16 games on today's action-packed slate and several jump out as huge values, ready to be part of a winning parlay. Let's seize the moment, shall we?

Using odds from WynnBET Sportsbook, here are my favorite MLB parlay picks of the day:

Best MLB Parlay Picks Today

Mets -1.5 (-185) vs Nationals

For the last several years, my friend Ryan or I sent out a "it's deGrom day!!" group text every time Jacob deGrom pitched. You don't know how beautiful it was to see that message pop up this morning.

The King is BACK, baby! Jacob deGrom is my favorite pitcher of all-time (second favorite player behind Nomar Garciaparra) and I'm so incredibly thrilled to bet on him today. Washington just traded Juan Soto and Josh Bell, so its already-weak lineup is even worse. The last time deGrom faced the Nationals, he did this:

Good gravy, this guy is incredible. Take a look at deGrom's MLB Statcast Pitching Profile last year before his injury and try not to laugh:

Washington doesn't stand a chance. Say it with me: it's deGrom day!!

Guardians (-133) vs Diamondbacks

The Cleveland Guardians are 15-3 in their last 18 as home favorites, including seven straight wins. I love catching them at a short price, especially with Triston McKenzie on the mound.

McKenzie seems to have leveled up, amassing a 1.34 ERA in July as the Guardians won seven of his last nine starts. Cleveland's lineup ranks seventh in OPS against right-handed pitchers over the last three weeks and should find success against Zac Gallen, as well.

Gallen has been solid, but his 3.70 expected ERA suggests he's been lucky to amass only a 3.24 ERA to this point. Arizona is terrible in these spots too, going just 1-8 in its last nine as a road underdog.

Back the streaking Guardians to keep putting pressure on Minnesota in the AL Central.

Braves -1.5 (-120) vs Phillies

I get to bet on Jacob deGrom, the Guardians, and Spencer Strider on the same day?? Holy cannoli, it must be my birthday.

I can't say enough good things about the historic start Strider is having to his career. He's allowed one run or fewer in five of his last six starts and he just limited these Phillies to three hits and one run over six innings last week.

He's in the 93rd percentile in expected batting average and 99th in strikeout percentage as he's quickly established himself as one of the best starters in MLB, period.

Atlanta is 24-6 in its last 30 as a home favorite, with 17 wins coming on the run line. Look for Strider's dominance to continue as the Braves roll.

MLB Parlay for August 2, 2022

The "Hold Onto Your Hats" Parlay (+395)

  • Mets -1.5 (-185) vs. Nationals
  • Guardians (-133) vs. Diamondbacks
  • Braves -1.5 (-120) vs. Phillies

My three favorite things in baseball all in one parlay. What a treat. Between Jacob deGrom, the Cleveland Guardians, and Spencer Strider, I'm ready for my dedicated fandom to be rewarded with a mountain of cash.

Odds of +395 gives us a $98.69 profit on a $25 bet, so I'm thrilled about the value we've got here. WynnBET won't know what hit 'em.

Best of luck - let's get after it! It's deGrom day, after all.
